The Greeter / 'Sit & Knit' Volunteer 

If you are looking to spread joy & serve, this the perfect way! Horizon needs very special volunteers to welcome patients and families who enter the hospice residence at Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee Hospital in Mequeon.  You will be stationed at the front desk (2) hours each week.

If you knit, come weave your love & care into a colorful shawl for patients while staffing the desk as the "Sit & Knit" Volunteer. We accept comfort shawls of any color, pattern & size. We will even supply yarn for you if needed!  Donations are always welcome, whether you choose to serve as a 'Sit & Knit' Volunteer or not.

If knitting is not something you are familiar with, you can still serve and plan to catch up on a good book, study or offer clerical support at the front desk. We just want to make certain our patients and families are kindly greeted as they enter the residence at this very challenging time in their lives.
