"Due to his illness, Harry was mostly bedridden and was unable to care for his own basic needs. Thankfully, Horizon Home Care and Hospice sent Ms. Damitta Cole to help manage his care. Ms. Cole provided outstanding physical care by gently bathing Harry, changing his bandages, clothing and linens. She showed great sensitivity and compassion in her duties and allowed Harry to maintain his dignity."

Volunteer Opportunities

The Grief Resource Center offers an outstanding opportunity for individuals to reach out to others in need. Volunteers in the Center may assist in a variety of ways. Our volunteers answer the Grief Center phones, greet visitors and answer questions. Volunteers also participate in updating and maintaining our listing of services through surveys and organization of information received.

Individuals with a desire to assist others who are suffering with loss will find the Grief Center a wonderful place to volunteer. On-site training is provided by Center staff.
